Terms of Service

CavityX simulation service — effective 16 October 2026. These terms apply to every account on the CavityX service (the “Service”), including free trial use.

What CavityX is. CavityX runs injection-molding fill simulations and produces engineering estimates: fill time, pressure, temperature, defects, shrinkage and warp. Results are engineering estimates, not a substitute for physical trial molds or certified Moldflow analysis. Do not release a tool, a part drawing or a production process based on a CavityX result alone.

1. The service

CavityX accepts part files (STEP, STP, BREP, IGES, STL), runs a physics-based fill simulation on our infrastructure, and returns the results plus an HTML report.
Plans and limits (runs per month, mesh size, upload size, included sim-minutes) are shown at signup and on the pricing page. Launch pricing is subject to change; a change to a paid plan takes effect at your next renewal, and we will email you material changes at least 30 days ahead.
Sim-minutes are CPU time on the solver, metered per run and shown on your usage card. Overage is billed at the published rate only after your monthly allowance is used up.

2. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secret.
Upload only files you have the right to process. We do not review uploaded CAD for IP ownership.
Abuse — including using the Service to host, distribute or probe malware, or attempting to disrupt other users’ runs — is grounds for suspension without refund.

3. Your CAD data

Customer CAD files and run results are stored per-account: your files are visible only to you and are never used to train models or shown to other customers.
You may delete your files and account at any time from the app, or by requesting deletion (see the Privacy Policy); deletion is carried out within 30 days and covers all stored files, runs and reports.
You keep all rights in your files; you grant us only the limited right to process them to provide the Service.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the app or by email; there is no cancellation fee and no lock-in.
When a paid plan is cancelled, access continues until the end of the paid period and the account then drops to the free trial plan (existing files remain readable and deletable; new runs are subject to trial limits).
Payments already made for a completed billing period are non-refundable except where required by law; we will refund any charge for a period you did not have access to because of a fault on our side.

5. Acceptable results — no warranty

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that any simulation result is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not stand behind tooling or production decisions made from them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. Runs are queued fairly; sustained heavy usage by one account may be throttled to protect other users.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email and on this page at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
